1971 Duster Twister
This is
my 1971 Duster Twister. What is a Duster Twister?
The Twister package (A51) was introduced mid-1971. It in essence is a car that
looks like a 340 car, but isn't. It shares the same grill, colors, stripes and
hood as the 340 Dusters but not the power plant. This Twister is powered by
a 318 2 bbl, which was an option. The slant 6 was standard for the Duster Twister.
The Twister package was available in 1971, 1972 and 1973. I am unsure of production
numbers on these cars, but would be interested in finding out. The car pictured
here is all original, with exception of the rear wheels, which have been made
into 15x7's, by Willamette Custom Wheels
The color is Sassy Grass Green with a black interior.
The seats are a black and white plaid known as "Salt and Pepper".
The car is equipped with dual racing style mirrors, and dual hood scoops known
as "Ramcharger scoops". These scoops are also found on Coronet R/T's, Super-Bee's
and Dodge Darts and Demons.
If you have any info on the Duster Twisters, I'd like to hear from you. EMAIL!!!
Thank you!

Jessica says: "Pretty cool, huh?"

THE END.
